We have a drive on for our county to support Paws and Claws, the local Humane Society, that if every family (one member of each family) could give one dollar every month it would be enough to support the Society and feed and house those pets so that they would have more time to find homes than they currently do. I find it hard to call Leona Helmsley the Queen of Mean after her generous donation to the Dog world...I just wish it had included all domestic animals...
hugs for your support!
SandiSandi McBridehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09033518416111957858noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8546346781211197873.post-59392061073538858272008-06-30T16:35:00.000-04:002008-06-30T16:35:00.000-04:00Thanks for including this post about our work in C...Thanks for including this post about our work in Cedar Rapids! Our volunteers in the field and the animals appreciate your kind words and support. So far we have deployed 78 volunteers to Cedar Rapids, and they are now caring for more than 600 evacuated and rescued pets at the temporary shelter. If you have pets, don't forget to make a disaster and evacuation plan that includes them!
