OK, Sports Fans--Brett Favre's a Jet. We're getting ready to watch his debut in New York (well, actually suburban Jersey, but who's counting?) against the Washington Redskins. Can't quite believe that Ol' Number 4 is going to be wearing another shade of green After. All. Those. Years with The Pack. Unbelievable.

ReplyDeleteYeah - it's going to be REALLY hard not to associate the green and gold with Favre. My son's football team played yesterday and they have a team called GREEN WAVE in their division that had a few players out there and it's the Green Bay colors. I couldn't help but think about him when I saw it.

ReplyDeleteDid you catch any of the game last nite? Brett had a pretty sweet series of downs. And the Packers got killed by SFO. Such is life. We have a few over here who want to do bodily harm to Ted Thompson and others for letting Brett go! I, myself, am ordering a Number 4 jersey in Jets Green!

Logical Brett had a strong, sexy southern drawl where Emotional Brett has a whiney, nasal-like twang that grates on my nerves.

Wow, Carrie--in my family, we have strong emotions on both sides of the controversy. My Hubs sides with you; one of my daughters was so caught up in the myth that Brett might come back that she was on the verge of signing up for season tickets; the other kids and moi are on the fence. It sure was nice watching him last night, even though he was wearing a weird color of green! :)
