Thank You For Your Service, Ryan

These are photos taken of, and by my friend's son Ryan, during his time in the Air Force.
The Popr's family has known him since he was just a little boy, and are proud of his military service. One of the jobs he had was as a mechanic on the U2 spy plane.
I didn't get to wave the flag for him when he returned, but I'm proud to wave it today!
God bless all of our servicemen and women. And thank you.
I am participating in Six Word Saturday, hosted by Cate at Show My Face.

Oh I'm so glad this was a "just because" post, and not a eulogy! We've (Canada) lost so many good people to the nonsense over there, as have you. They're always in my thoughts.

He's quite a cutie!

Ryan deserves a lot of credit for his service to our country. All those fellows do. Their tasks are more than they ever imagined when they volunteered.
You did good here, Julie. Happy 6WS!

I've always thought that camel was smiling! When Ryan was in the UAE and sent the photo home, I sent it to the Post Crescent, but no response. :(
What a great photo!

I remember Ryan from back in the day! He used to play on the slide, etc., behind your old house. Glad he made it back safely. I've still got 7 former students in Iraq/Afghanistan...
