The title of this post is from Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet." I've been in a gardening mood for a couple of months now, and came upon this shot in the POPrs Family Archives. It actually was snapped by The Wild One in San Francisco a couple of years ago.
The colors, the contrast and the framing show hints of the artiste in my little girl, don't you think? But I have no idea what kind of flowers these are. Anyone have any guesses?
Here's the rest of the "rose" speech, spoken by Juliet, as she reflects on the love of someone from the House of Montague.
'Tis but thy name that is my enemy;
Thou art thyself, though not a Montague.
What's Montague? it is nor hand, nor foot,
Nor arm, nor face, nor any other part
Belonging to a man. O, be some other name!
What's in a name? that which we call a rose
By any other name would smell as sweet;
So Romeo would, were he not Romeo call'd,
Retain that dear perfection which he owes
Without that title. Romeo, doff thy name,
And for that name which is no part of thee
Take all myself.

Friday Foto Finish Fiesta: Family Matters
Going to a "family reunion" of sorts this weekend. Don't know if all of these members of the extended POPrs Family will be there, but quite a few of them will be.
I'm sure I'll have some tales to tell. Stay tuned!
Just had to dip into the POPrs Family Archives once again for Candid Carrie's Friday Foto Finish Fiesta. Happy Friday, once again. Happy Friday, everyone!
