Pop'rs Butter Supreme Soup

Today's Pop'rs Infomercial features Bethany, whose brother Ben cooked up such a Great Pop'rs Infomerical for us last month.

Bethany's sharing her mom's recipe for Pop'rs Butter Supreme Soup. Tracy P., as many of you know, is famous around these here parts for being a Pop'rs Giveaway Winner, and for her Beer Cheese Soup, too!

The Secret Ingredient in this recipe? Why, Butter-Flavored Pop'rs, of course! Bethany just sprinkles this delish, fun and nutrish seasoning on, and her store-bought soup (to which Mom added leftovers, I'm told) is totally transformed!

Pretty Cheesy

The Pop'rs Family was again crying in their Beer Cheese Soup on Sunday, as their once Proud Green Bay Packers took themselves out of the Playoffs~and effectively out of our hearts~for the season. We pretty much had to punt at Aunt Julie's Packer Party, as Our Team lost to the Lowly Jacksonville Jaguars.

"The jig's up, the season's effectively over and the Green Bay Packers have been dismissed from relevancy for 2008," writes Bob McGinn of The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. "They can't beat anyone, not even the Jacksonville Jaguars with maybe 45,000 semi-interested souls watching at Jacksonville Municipal Stadium."

The Pack needed Divine Intervention to help them on Sunday. Guess the lovely couple above wasn't enough! And looks like we'll be following the New York Jets for the rest of the season. Just remember~Brett's a Jet!

Pop'rs come in 8 Delicious Flavors, and the Fun Factor Can't. Be. Beat!

One of our Pop'rs Veterans contributed this recipe to the cause. Aunt Julie just loves Beer Cheese Soup, so thanks, Tracy P.!

Tracy P.'s Beer Cheese Soup
1 stick of butter
1 cup flour
4 cans chicken broth
1 1/2 cups heavy whipping cream
1 jar (15 oz.) Cheese Whiz
6 oz. beer
1 T. Worcestershire sauce
1/4 cup freeze-dried chives

Melt butter in pot. Add flour and cook on low heat for five minutes, stirring constantly.
Add chicken broth gradually, while stirring to prevent lumps. Stir in whipping cream.
Add Cheese Whiz and stir until melted and smooth. (Requires a little patience!)
Add beer, Worcestershire sauce and chives, and simmer 15 minutes, stirring constantly. (Trust me when I say that if it starts boiling, it will foam up and over quicker than you can come up with a catchy colloquialism. Mark my words. Clean up while it cooks if you must, but do NOT turn your back on it. Just sayin'.)
Garnish with popcorn and serve!
