I was sitting out in the backyard yesterday, just enjoying the Summer Solstice (longest day of the year, official first day of summer, and all that jazz), when this cute little guy bounded by, about 10 feet from me.
The bunnies in our neighborhood are getting bigger. That tells me two things. First off, the predators that have been known to frequent our neck o' the woods, such as racoons, foxes and, yes, even the occasional coyote, have diminished in number.
Secondly, I guess I need to cut the grass. A little too much clover to be had back there, huh?

heh. Our overgrown lawn hosted a muskrat, bunny, squirrels and raccoon last summer. This year, I'M mowing the lawn.
Wonder why the decrease in predators over there? Is there a new, larger predator in town?
Awwww, what a sweet visitor you had! Thanks for visiting my blog today!
We had the exact same afternoon. Our big fat bunny hopped around yesterday afternoon:-)
Oh, no! I'm afraid I can't feel fuzzy warmness --- he's plotting to eat some of your veggies right now!
We have a bunny in our backyard, too. I haven't seen it though... just the pile of, uh, evidence, it left...
They're still cute, though, aren't they?
Ahhh, what a cute little bunny. We live on a canyon so we see lots of critters......but no bunnies. :)
Hey, that bunny looks familiar...so does the scraggly lawn!
Oh he's a cute little thing. Tell the predators to stay away. He loves you!
awww too too cute
Wait, you mean the clover is a bad thing? Is that why the Chem Green (or whatever it was) guy left the note on the door saying he could get our clover, too? Huh. Love the bunny!
Cute bunny!! You know... My BFF told me today that one of her friends is DEATHLY afraid of rabbits... Strange huh?! haha
Great blog! So unique!
I can't believe I totally missed the summer solstice yesterday. shesh.
Look at these people saying bunnies are cute. This morning alone one polished off a petunia and a dahlia in my garden before being run off. Twice. Post coming soon. Good grief!
We saw a fox carry one off years ago, and prayed that his tribe would increase. But alas, it has also diminished. Our hawks and eagles are falling down on the job too.
He's soooo cute.....
I think the bunnies are getting bolder too. I was at my house the other day, Zander was playing in the back yard....yelling and running around....and this little bunny just sat there in the yard and watched him...never even moved. I was amazed.
