A Sign Of Things To Come

I am participating in Six Word Saturday, hosted by Cate at Show My Face.

I LOVE Fall...NOT IN AUGUST!

This gorgeous little maple tree seems to have a mind of its own! But if you look closely, there seems to be some damage to the trunk. I'm hoping this is the cause of the display of red leaves in AUGUST, though the high for today is the low 60s.
School starts Tuesday. Where did summer go?

Your tree may be confused but it gives me hope for cooler days. Thanks for playing 6WS!

I still have the A/C at full coldness. (OK. I live in New Mexico. We don't have A/C... We have "swamp coolers". Trust me and don't go there :-(

Oh so pretty!!!! Love it! I miss the New England falls of my youth. Down here in GA they change in December and promptly fall off. Not the nice long progression, or the pretty colors either. The weather has been crazy this year. SO HOT and SO RAINY!! I feel like I live in the rain forest!

It's too early for leaf peeping. The tree must not be eating its veggies.
