This photo of Shark Boy and Big Bear enjoying their apples on the front lawn started me thinking about the meaning of autumn, and of falling leaves. Then I found this quote, which made the picture complete!
"If winter is slumber and spring is birth, and summer is life, then autumn rounds out to be reflection. It's a time of year when the leaves are down and the harvest is in and the perennials are gone. Mother Earth just closed up the drapes on a another year, and it's time to reflect on what's come before."

I love autumn. I love the closeness we feel as a family, the cooking, the beauty - all of it.

Ah...Northern Exposure...my favorite show of all time.
Those look like DELIGHTFULLY crisp apples, too!
I love falling leaves....when I don't have to pick them up!
