Rolling into 2009

Here's Patch on the back deck~in a much milder season, of course! I thought I'd kick off The New Year with a Pet Post, considering the recent news. Have you heard?

A national poll revealed two days ago that more folks kiss Their Pet than Their Human to usher in the New Year. Women are 4.5 times as likely to spend New Year's Eve with a pet than men are. And Democrats are more likely than Republicans to spend New Year's Eve with a pet, according to the Zogby/Times Square New Year's Eve National Poll.

"We've discovered over the four years that we've been conducting this survey that people love seeing in the New Year with their pet," said Tim Tompkins, president of the Times Square Alliance. "I guess it's that pure joy and unconditional optimism that animals have that people love to be around." The poll was reported by the Scripps Howard News Service.

Moker and I stayed in last night, toasted the New Year, then hit the hay. What did you do to herald the Start of 2009? Have a Happy!

Happy New Year! :)

I stayed home, in my jammies, and did some digital scrapbooking. Just how I like it. :)

Happy New Year!

Some idiot lit off fireworks right at midnight, so I guess I was "awake" for it, but I went to bed at 9pm. I never stay up for it although going to a fancy would be nice someday.

Did you see Uncle Lynn and Veggie Mom in the Milwaukee paper today? Mr. Fairway saw it online when he went to check the Badger scores. Here's the link: http://www.jsonline.com/business/36956019.html

What inspiring statistics those are. As I right this comment my 2 fat cats are rolling around on the floor play fighting...its funny to watch to 2 overweight cats do that.

Makes me proud to be a democrat all the more!

I didn't even make til midnigh last night.....Z and I hit the hay around 11:00....he couldn't make it anymore.....

We stayed home with the family. Hubs and I watched some more of our "24" series we have gotten hooked on and the boys were playing their new video game they got for Christmas. At midnight we all got together for some family time and about 2 the boys crashed and we weren't far behind!

Happy New Year!

Slept through the whole thing!

You are now officially out of your misery (for this season, at least). I wonder if I should be envious...I see they can't even sell enough tickets to get the Vikings televised. I imagine they will pull it off at the last minute.

Happy New Year!

Our new year's eve was quiet, watching tv. The kids were in bed by 7:30.

Wishing you all the best in 2009.

I stayed home with one of the sick kids, and my hubby and the other kids went to church. It was okay, because he started to feel better and so I joined my twitter friends online
