Kittens for Lunch?

I'm guessing this must be "Animal Planet Weekend." First the dangerous~but oh, so creative~dog, and now a mother on a mission. Aunt Julie, of course, is responsible for forwarding both to me!

This clip from CBS's Assignment America proves, I think, that mothering is an instinct. I have to say I was a tad nervous when the dog picked up her first kitten. But it must have been love at first bite!

This made me smile so big. I watched it with the sound off, because my fiance was sleeping. Still. Just watching it made me smile. We have three kitties and one doggy, and our doggy acts just like the black doggy with her three (older) kitty cat sisters.

How cute is this? Somehow, I don't think our kitty cats would take kindly to mothering by any other kind o' critter...

So sweet...the mothering instinct is amazing...it runs so deeply through so many animal species, including our own.
This would be a great clip to re-post for Mother's Day!

Super sweet! Yup, it's just what we do.

We are just fine up here on the tundra, but praying for our neighbors up north. The crest came sooner and a tad lower than predicted, so if everything holds and there is no more precipitation, they will come out as well as they could have hoped. Thanks for checking!

That was sooo sweet. Although, I'm a little worried about that jaguar and the baby monkey.

Aww, how sweet! But umm what does it say when animals can figure it out and get it right and people can't?

That's pretty amazing!

Awwww....you know I loved this clip! It is amazing. I think its funny scientists are studying this "mothering" thing.....as if it could be bottled up. They can't even understand women and dating.....and they want to try and understand mothering? Whatever!

Those little yellow kitties want me. Did you hear them calling my name? Thanks for sharing, I loved that!
